Janhvi kapoor was born on 6 march 1997 to the actress Sridevi and film producer Boney kapoor.Kapoor has one younger sister, Khushi, and two half siblings, actor Arjun kapoor or Anshula kapoor. She is the niece of actors Anil kapoor and Sanjay. She studied at Dhirbhai Ambani School in mumbai. Before making her film debut, She took  acting course from Lee Strasburge Theatre Institute in California.  

Career :-

Kapoor made her acting debut 2018 with the Shashank khatan-directed romance Dhadak, co-starring Ishan khattar. A Hindi-language remake of the 2016 Marathi film Sairat, she is featured her a young upper-class girl whose life turn tragic after she elopes with a lower-class boy. Film received predominantly negatives reviews, but with a worldwide the collection 1.1 billion, it proved to a commeril success. kapoor won Zee Cine Award for Best female debut. 

Kapoor played a dual role opposite Rajkummar Rao in the comedy film Roohi. She will also star alongsides Kartik Aaryan and Laksh lalwani in Dostana 2, and in featured of Karan johar's ensemble period film Takht

As of March 2021, she has complete Good Lucky jerry, a Hindi adaption of the 2018 Tamil movie Kolamavue kokila, produced by Aanand L. Rai.
